This has been a challenging few years for all of us, yet there is still much to be thankful for.
During our Cayuga Improvement Association board meeting on November 10, 2020, we discussed the healing potential of thankfulness and the simple acts of kindness which can magnify the goodness which is silently present in our lives. This discussion resulted in our deciding to announce:
A Cayuga Neighborhood Improvement Association 'THANK YOU, POSTAL WORKERS!' action!
Throughout 2020-2021, our mail carriers have dealt with the pandemic, appalling air quality due to fires raging throughout our state, much higher temperatures than temperate climate zone San Francisco is accustomed to, the challenge of ballots being sent to every household, a campaign season which generated heavy quantities of campaign flyers, and significant political challenges.
Throughout it all, our mail is delivered daily. Postal workers are often unsung heroes, too often taken for granted.
POST THANK YOU MESSAGES IN YOUR WINDOW &/or BY YOUR MAILBOX
Board members have posted 'THANK YOU, Postal Workers' Posters around the community. Join us by creating and hanging such a poster if you would like to do so!
There are two fabulous 'thank you fliers' on the bottom of this page, created by association member James Mao.
